The DT series floating connector with 0.5 mm pitch comply high-speed serial signal transmission equivalent with the SATA standard.
The transmission characteristics meet all the requirements of SATA Rev 3.0. that is, differential impedance 100Ω ± 15%, differential insertion loss 6dB, near-end crosstalk 26dBloss, rise time 85psec, skew 10psec, intersymbol interference 50psec.
The high speed transmission compliant DT series also has a full range of functions as a floating connector with ± 0.5 mm floating amount in the XY direction, achieve the same level of movement as before. The effective mating length is 1.5mm (1.7mm when horizontal mating), which is longer than the conventional DY series and DU series, improving connection reliability. The form of contact is arc-shaped, which avoid foreign matters in.
Both the plug and the receptacle have straight type and right angle type, and one of the major features is that it realizes three directional mating methods, stack, horizontal, and vertical mating. The number of contacts come with 30, 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, 140, 160 and 240 pins. (240 poles are straight type only) Stack height is from 8mm to high stack version of 17, 18, 19 and 20 mm. 25 mm stack height is under development.
In addition, DT connectors with metal shell are also available suitable to reduce ESD and EMC.
The metal shell enclosure protects signals from static electricity and noise.
Close installation between neighboring shells strengthen the ground.
